While Knights of the Old Republic is currently available on Steam, the second game is difficult to come by, even in digital form. This will probably end up being a big selling point for the Collection, especially for those who have played the first game and are looking to continue the story. It may not be Knights of the Old Republic 3, but fans will certainly be willing to replay both games - and that’s coming from someone who played the original over six times.

Both games also launched on the original Xbox, and were crucial parts of the system’s library. Seeing as both titles are must-haves, it’s only fair to remain hopeful that they’ll be re-released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 as well, though it would have to be an HD collection. There’s nothing better than playing classics in HD with improved textures - not to mention acheivments and trophies. It would also be a smart move to appease fans, some of which aren’t too happy with The Old Republic or the quality of the last Old Republic novel.

The Knights of the Old Republic Collection is listed for July 17th, 2012, exclusively on PC.
